Our story began in December 2019, like many modern romances, on Tinder. Laurence noticed something familiar in one of Lisa's photos - a piece of curly hair that caught his eye. After a little investigation, he realised Lisa had cropped out her best friend Yasmin from the picture, leaving just a hint of Yasmin’s curly hair. Yasmin, a mutual friend of Laurence’s, had unknowingly connected us. This shared bond gave Lisa the confidence to go on our first date, and from there, our love story began.

Our romance truly blossomed when the lockdown hit. Lisa went to stay at Laurence’s parents' house, thinking it would just be a three-week risk. As we all know, three weeks turned into three months! Thankfully, being locked down together didn’t cause us to clash—it made us fall in love.

Fast forward to 2023, and we bought our first house together. After spending every weekend doing DIY, we decided to visit Styal, a spot we’d often visited since we started dating. In the beautiful gardens at Styal, Laurence got down on one knee with the most gorgeous custom ring, and before he could even ask, Lisa said “yes!".
